The TTG Travel Award for China is, how do we say this, a really important award to win. And our Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel just won one of these bad guys. Of all the new hotels built in Shanghai in 2009, this location of ours was voted in as the Best New Hotel. Why thank you, TTG. We happen to dig this spot, too. It’s a 60-story building that towers over Shanghai and serves as a modern architectural icon. The views of the city are jaw-dropping. From the restaurants to the conference rooms, this hotel is not only stylish, but it is, well, the best new hotel in Shanghai.

Tall Tales

justspotted_tagWhere does one of the tallest men in the world hang his hat? All seven feet and six inches of Houston Rocket’s Yao Ming called the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel home while hitting the road recently to launch a PSA regarding shark conservation. The hotel must be amazing, because a guy this size probably has some giant expectations.  More from China Hospitality News. (Kinda ironic that the accompanying pic is so small…)

Shanghai is a city that shouts. In this brilliant, chaotic city music blares from giant building-sized TV screens and exceptionally stylish crowds swarm the streets.

But sometimes, you just have to step back (and up) to appreciate it all. Check out the Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel to see what we mean.
