“People came out on to balconies and roof terraces around the block and started waving and dancing along. The lighting man started using the lights as searchlights, felt like some Batman behaviour. This was a once in a lifetime party,” he (Mr Hudson) said of the New York Fashion Week show at the Renaissance Hotel.
“The police turned up halfway through the set. The actual police, not the band – though I believe Sting lives nearby. Someone must’ve complained so they repeatedly ordered our soundman Pete to turn the system off, but being an original gangster he just shook his head and turned it up! Thanks Pete. I owe you one.”
