Expedia’s recent traveler’s poll showed that worldwide travelers don’t throw out their gold star rating for many UK hotels. Luckily for us, Renaissance Chancery Court is a favorite among globetrotters. The North London location placed 80th in the world for best hotel and 3rd in the UK. And why shouldn’t it? Chancery Court is within walking distance of London’s famous West End.

In a city where hotel rooms are notoriously small, Chancery Court boasts some of the largest guest rooms in London. An award-winning day spa and the renowned restaurant, Pearl, call this hotel home—and you’d want to as well if you passed out in the luxury bedding guests whisper about to their friends post-vacation. Oh, what’s that? You’d like to visit the hotel yourself? And the spa? Oh. Ok then. You should try out the Simply Spa Weekend Getaway in London package being offered now through June 30th, 2010.

One of the world finest hotel properties is the former headquarters of an insurance company. How’s that, you ask? The Renaissance London Chancery Court Hotel (which, yes, originally housed a Holborn insurance company) was recently noted as “an excellent example of historic preservation” where “rooms are sophisticated.” The Cuban mahogany, French walnut and original art pieces are only a few improvements made to the original castle-like Edwardian building.  Need more insurance? It was voted into the Gold List 2010 by a poll of more than 25,000 Conde Nast Traveler readers.
