Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort and Spa to Open in 2012

Set in the heart of the Apennine Mountains in Barga, Italy, Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort & Spa is set to be renovated and open in the summer of 2012.

The area is known for its artistic richness and natural beauty: scenic mountains, lush parks, quaint villages and medieval architecture (think cobbled lanes and marble quarries). In fact, Barga was named one of the most beautiful villages in Italy by I Borghi più belli d’Italia, an association that notes small Italian towns with artistic and historical interest. From the hotel, take a hike or horseback ride on a pristine trail, play a round of tennis, or relax in the indoor or outdoor pools overlooking the Tuscan landscape.
