Renaissance Hotels Pride Party with Cyndi Lauper

Supporting the advancement of LGBT equality, Renaissance Hotels teamed up with Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors Fund for a charity online auction and Pride bash at Renaissance Times Square’s RLounge last week. Special performances included the cast of Broadway’s Priscilla Queen of the Desert belting it out onstage, as well as up-and-coming pair DJ Mia Moretti and violinist Caitlin Moe flipping MGMT’s “Kids” onto its head for the rapt audience.

But it was music legend Cyndi’s appearance that made everyone put down their Grey Goose cocktails and Blue Ribbon bites. As co-founder of the True Colors Fund, Cyndi spoke to the crowd about her charity and their work to help homeless LGBT youth.

Their current online auction has items donated by Renaissance Hotels and American Airlines: Now through May 12, you can bid on a trip to London (and meet Cyndi), New York City (and see Priscilla Queen of the Desert on Broadway), Atlanta and Washington DC. 100% of the proceeds go to support Cyndi’s True Colors Fund.
