Renaissance Re-Launch Keeps NYC Up All Night

Any R-Lifer worth his salt in sequins knows what a good party will do for the soul. It won’t exactly soothe it, but it will definitely bring it back to life.

We hit up the Renaissance New York Hotel 57’s launch party in search of just that kind of resuscitation. We weren’t disappointed.

There were sparkly dresses a-plenty and a raucous celeb-studded crowd to start; we mingled with (well, “mingled with” is a little strong — let’s say “bumped elbows with”) Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley and Chase Crawford, Brooke Shields, Ugly Betty’s Becki Newton, and New York Real Housewife Kelly Bensimon.

We cut a rug to DJ Kiss, watched a live performance by Mr. Hudson and sipped on (a few to many!) Absolut cocktails. By the time we left, we were partied out, and thoroughly rejuvenated.
