Free Summer Movies at D.C.’s Renaissance Dupont Circle

Cinephiles, heads up: this summer, Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities will be hosting the second iteration of Summer Screenings, a showcase of independent films.  Expect spots from DC Shorts, Washington Jewish Film, Capital Irish Film Festival, GI Film, Rosebud, Reel Affirmations, and CINE Film Festival, plus select drop-bys of the film directors for Q&A, showing in the hotel lobby lounge-turned private theater.

And don’t think you’ll be munching on your typical buttered popcorn and Milk Duds as you — Chef Devon Capili’s custom menu features Chipotle seasoned popcorn, Kobe beef sliders, Ahi tuna sliders, Soft Shell Crab spring rolls, yuzu sorbet, Mediterranean nachos and an assortment of cocktails and regional micro-brews.
